Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Hardware Design Engineer in Irvine, CA. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $135,000yr, including full benefits.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hardware design and development, focusing on analog and microcontroller-based circuit design for aircraft systems. This role requires expertise in qualification testing, schematic capture, circuit analysis, and compliance with DO-160 standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform hardware design and development of analog and microcontroller-based circuits (LV, HV, TI Microcontroller) for aircraft systemsConduct qualification testing in compliance with DO-160 standardsUtilize ORCAD for schematic capture and updatesDesign test jigs and test equipment for card-level testing and troubleshootingPrepare and manage planning documents, requirement analysis, and traceability matricesWork with IBM DOORS for requirement management and traceabilityPerform circuit analysis to address component obsolescence and identify alternate componentsConduct change request analysis, execute corrections, and verify design implementationsDevelop test cases and procedures for DO-160 complianceExecute environmental testing as per DO-160 and generate comprehensive test reportsCoordinate with cross-functional teams for development and verification activitiesConduct design reviews and update circuit designs accordinglyReview test cases, procedures, and results to ensure compliance with requirementsKey Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and electronic componentsHands-on experience in circuit board design and development for aircraft applicationsExperience with IBM DOORS for requirement tracking and managementProficiency in ORCAD for schematic design and updatesFamiliarity with DO-160 standards and environmental testing requirementsStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills in hardware design and testingEffective oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation
