Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic Director of Public Sector Contracts & Bid Strategy to lead and oversee our bids and proposals team. This role is instrumental in identifying and securing public sector procurement opportunities, developing strategic pricing models, and ensuring compliance with government contracts, including GSA Schedules.The ideal candidate has strong analytical, project management, and proposal-writing skills, as well as experience with K-12 bids and contracts.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Bid ManagementDevelop and execute a results-driven bid strategy to expand public sector business and drive revenue growth.Establish key performance metrics to analyze bid success, identify trends, and enhance future opportunities.Leverage AI-driven tools for proposal automation, pricing strategy, competitor analysis, and bid evaluation.Maintain and update a competitive pricing database to ensure informed decision-making.Implement NLP tools to refine proposal language and ensure alignment with customer needs.Streamline the process for obtaining approved vendor status to expand contract opportunities.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Legal, Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, and Product Development teams to align bid strategies with business objectives.Work closely with product teams to ensure proposals highlight market trends, competitive advantages, and product innovations.Bid Development & Proposal WritingLead the end-to-end process of responding to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and grant proposals across all Excelligence brands.Oversee content development, compliance, and submission of persuasive and well-structured proposals.Maintain a centralized library of proposal templates, best practices, and reusable content.Conduct market and product research to enhance bid effectiveness and alignment with industry demands.Strategic Pricing & Go-to-Market ExecutionDevelop a competitive pricing strategy that maximizes profitability while ensuring contract compliance.Utilize data-driven insights to refine pricing models and support growth initiatives.Lead financial analyses for large contract opportunities to optimize profitability.GSA & Government Contract ManagementOversee existing GSA Schedules and identify new government contracting opportunities.Ensure compliance with all regulations, reporting standards, and contract terms.Contract Performance Tracking & OptimizationMonitor active contracts to track key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.Provide ongoing reporting and analysis to enhance contract management and renegotiation strategies.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of bid and proposal professionals.Optimize resource allocation to efficiently manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously.Required:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Proven expertise in K-12 bids and contracts.Strong understanding of pricing strategies in the public sector market.5+ years of experience managing public sector RFP responses andor large-scale grant applications.Exceptional writing, editing, and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
