Data Center Engineer

**Multiple Openings**Apex Systems is immediately seeking Level 1 and Level 2 Data Center Technical Operations Engineers to support our large multifaceted tech client. We are looking for qualified candidates that can operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.Job Title: Data Center Technical Operations EngineerLocation: Herndon, VA & Sterling, VADuration: 6m+ CTHCompensation: Hourly rate ranges from $30-$42hr on W2 - Based on relevant years of experience and corresponding Level HoursShift: Various shifts and times available (DayNight)Key Responsibilities:Ensure 247 reliability and availability of electrical, mechanical, and firelife safety equipment through daily monitoring and maintenance.Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS) effectively.Troubleshoot and resolve facility and rack-level events promptly within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Complete preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, repairs, and root cause analyses to minimize equipment downtime.Execute rack installs and decommissioning promptly within internal SLAs.Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of critical facility operations and maintenance.Coordinate projects with IT managers and other business leaders to manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military Trade School) Degree andor relevant experience.2-4 years of relevant work experience.Ability to work onsite
