We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world's toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer. *Discover Impactful Work* The Inside Sales Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. will manage an assigned territory and accounts in North Dakota (ND), South Dakota (SD), Kansas (KS), Minnesota (MN), Wisconsin (WI), Indiana (IN), and Tennessee (TN) for the Toxicology business. This position is based in Portage, Michigan. Responsibilities include selling Point of Care Cups, Drugs of Abuse reagents, and capital equipment, primarily to the Criminal Justice markets. The ideal candidate should demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a strong desire to succeed. *A Day in the Life* * Responsible for inside sales of the company's products into a specified geographic area and effectively manage all stages of sales cycle. * Apply solid understanding of Professional, Consultative, and Strategic Selling skills to develop incremental business in existing accounts and conduct cold calls to develop new accounts. * Develops a business plan for each major account; monitors and reports progress regularly and advises Sales Manager of results. * Establish customer pricing within defined ranges, providing price quotations and assist in preparing Bid documents, processes specifications, progress, and other reports. * Maintain positive relationships with business unit personnel for service and/or technical support, marketing and client/customer purchasing agents. * Assist in the forecasting and the projection of sales from new and existing customers for both reagents and instruments. * Attend various trade shows and assist in booth staffing. * Work extensively with SFDC () CRM to manage customer account base and Qualify sales leads, answer inquiries and maintain accurate records of activities using approved CRM software (Salesforce). * Provide feedback and interact on a frequent basis with Sales Managers, Field Service, Customer service, Marketing, and finance. *Keys to success* *Education* * Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. *Experience* * Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* * Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate resources and work with cross-functional teams. * Ability to plan and execute activities with minimal direct supervision. * Must provide detailed and timely reporting. * Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills. * experiences a plus. * Detail-orientation, analytical approach, strong prioritization skills. * Must have highest degree of integrity and ethics. * Must be proficient with MS office programs * Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for group presentations, customer sales presentations, and intercompany written and verbal communications. *Benefits* We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
