Certification Details BLS ACLS NIH Stroke Certification Job Details 12 James Surg Onc is a mixed acuity unit that cares for both PCU and Med Surg patients. This is a very busy surgical floor. All perm staff is PCU trained. Staffing Ratios - Goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor 2 Years of Experience Required Patient Age group: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Surgical Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma; Hepatobiliary: liver, pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine; Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer; Plastics: reconstructive breast cancer or sarcoma Special Procedures/Unit Details: Chemotherapy, Blood transfusions, IV Antibiotics, Oncologic emergencies, cytokine release syndrome, Insulin drips, Heparin drips, Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls. Job Requirements 2 Years of Experience Required Required if candidate is using a compact license from any state other than Ohio. License Verification required within 30 days of start.
