Credit Execution Trader

Position Overview: Our client is a $7bn Alternative investment firm, with investments across equity and credit strategies. They are looking for a credit trader to focus on trading execution and market monitoring. This hire will be the sole trader for the credit business. Responsibilities:Execute secondary and primary leveraged loan trades for the credit platform.Work directly with banks on new issue loans and secondary market transactions.Monitor market conditions, news, and other relevant factors to identify and capitalize on investment opportunities, managing risk and optimizing trade execution.Handle loan closing, reconcile cash positions and oversee loan settlements. Utilize trading systems and tools to execute trades, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.Maintain strong relationships with brokers, exchanges, and other counterparties to ensure access to liquidity, competitive execution, and efficient trade settlement.Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies that could impact trading strategies, and proactively adapt to changing market conditions.Qualifications:3-6 experience as a credit trader or as a trading assistant within a reputable investment bank or hedge fund, with a demonstrated track record of successful trade execution and portfolio management.Proficiency in utilizing trading platforms, order management systems, and electronic trading tools.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make informed trading decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external counterparties.
