Job Title: Automation Robotics EngineerLocation: Elkhart, INHire Type: Direct Hire, OnsiteTarget Salary Range: $100K - $110KyearBenefits: PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)Job Summary:This person will be part of an innovative team tasked with developing automation and robotics solutions that will be used for manufacturing operations at the company's nationwide production facilities.Job Duties:Translate user requirements into functional and technical designs.Lead technical solutions and drive innovation in manufacturing automation.Conduct plant assessments, define scope (DOUSOW), and support RFQRFI preparation.Evaluate vendor quotes and assist in proposal development.Manage offshore and vendor teams, ensuring project success.Support project reviews and senior management reporting.Maintain customer satisfaction and foster future engagement.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is preferred.5+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing automation and system integration.Expertise in mechanical engineering, control automation, EOAT, and robotic work cells.Experience with robotics (including collaborative robots), PLCs, pneumatics, and safety systems.Knowledge of low-cost automation, fixture design, SPM, and testing machines.Familiarity with assembly, pick & place, vision, and inspection automation.Understanding of OT communication protocols and robot programming.Ability to troubleshoot equipment and read electrical schematics.Project management and end-to-end automation execution.Customer, stakeholder, and vendor management.RFQ preparation and plant assessment experience.Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel to other facilities when necessary.
