Our client is actively seeking talented civil engineering or construction management professionals, to join their team as a Senior Construction Manager. This person will play a key role in supporting a wide range of civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, and water resources related projects. The work they do will impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities for clients of our client. The initial assignment will be a 1 to 3 year project supporting Construction Management Services for large, heavy civil, water resources projects, related to the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. Projects include mass excavation, dredging, canal widening, embankments, levees, pump stations, etc. This person would act as the liaison between the contractor, the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), and the engineer of record. They will ensure the contractor is conducting work in accordance with the permits obtained, ensure the contractor is meeting scheduling expectations, ensuring the contractor has materials scheduled for timely delivery, manage the inspection work (QC), coordinate submittals and RFI process, run bi-weekly progress meetings, etc. Package 1 is the clearing and grubbing, creating a construction village, utility road, and temporary bridge. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License highly preferred10+ years of related construction experience with related projects (heavy civil earthworks, heavy civil construction, building infrastructure that requires earthworks such as dams, dykes, etc.) Experience working with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) is preferred Experience with E-Builder or a similar construction management software Knowledge of environmental planning, permitting and regulationsSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to complete project tasks.Ability to provide professional-level verbal and written communication skills as this is a client facing role An attitude and commitment to being passionate about doing exceptional work, energizing staff and delivering responsive service to clients.High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic.NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEGeotechnical Engineering experience Water or Wastewater Treatment plant experience CQCSM software experienceProfessional Geologist (PG) licenseGeneral Contractor (GC) licenseOSHA certificationstraining FDOT Construction training$120,000 to $130,000 per year annual salary.
