Job Position: Facilities TechnicianFacility Address: Athens, GAContract based of 3 MonthsShift Information: Day shiftJob Description: We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician II to assist with the general maintenance of facilities, including HVAC systems, high purity water systems, and various equipment. This role requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, mechanical systems, and HVAC. The technician will support the maintenance team in ensuring the continuous operation of facility equipment, performing preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, and maintaining cleanliness and order within the facility. The Facilities Technician II will also be responsible for completing documentation activities in compliance with FDAEU and Good [Laboratory, Clinical, Manufacturing] Practices (GXP) regulations.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Support: Assist with the general maintenance of facilities, HVAC systems, and high purity water systems, under supervision.Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs for equipment and control systems as assigned.Equipment Service: Carry out basic service tasks such as oil changes, tire inflation, and cleaning to ensure continued operations of site equipment.Water Systems: Operate and monitor high-purity water systems to ensure an uninterrupted water supply to end users, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping duties in mechanical spaces, including cleaning exterior equipment locations and general mechanical spaces.Documentation: Complete accurate and detailed documentation of maintenance activities to comply with GXP and regulatory requirements.Facility Operations Support: Assist in basic infrastructure activities such as painting and changing lightbulbs to maintain smooth facility operations.Collaboration: Interact with team leaders, maintenance planners, schedulers, technicians, operators, and contractors to ensure maintenance tasks are completed effectively and pliance: Work in accordance with the site's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with USDA and EMEA standards for master seeds and raw materials (preferred).Skills & Qualifications:Basic understanding of carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and mechanical skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including team members and managers.Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and seek out necessary resources to improve technical knowledge.Basic computer skills for business communication and documenting maintenance activities.SAP-PM knowledge is desirable.Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and support the team in complex, highly regulated environments.Education & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent.2+ years of education, training, andor experience in one or more of the following fields:CarpentryWeldingElectricianPlumberHVACMechanicsHigh Purity Water GenerationFire Systems
