**Contract**Job Overview:We are seeking a Payroll Specialist focused on Certified Payroll to manage union and contract payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws. The role involves handling payroll inquiries, adjustments, and discrepancies, as well as preparing certified payroll reports for government agencies and clients.Key Responsibilities:Process certified payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws, including prevailing wages and union regulations.Review payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, and union cycles for a large workforce.Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies from employees, subcontractors, and project management teams.Suggest process improvements and generate reports.Qualifications:3+ years of payroll or compensation experience (or 5+ years without a degree).Experience with certified payroll and union payroll is required.Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and federal payroll regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred:SAP experience or relevant certifications.
