We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer (PE) - the ideal candidate will collaborate with design teams on Design-Build and Design-Assist projects for large commercial developments. With over $230 million in annual sales, the company remains committed to investing in cutting-edge technology, its customers, and its employees.Responsibility:An Electrical Engineer (PE) is responsible for overseeing large-scale commercial electrical contracting projects, including building systems and underground installations. This role involves working with high and medium voltage applications, designing low voltage power systems, conducting system studies, and providing technical support to electricians in the field.Expectations of an Electrical Engineer (PE)Developing one-line diagrams for power distribution systems.Leading the design and engineering of complete building electrical systems.Creating electrical project specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.Conducting site visits to assess project conditions and develop detailed scopes of work.Collaborating with design teams on Design-Build and Design-Assist projects.Exploring and implementing value engineering options to optimize cost and performance.Reviewing project submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design specifications.Performing short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies to ensure system safety and reliability.Evaluating product submittals to verify compliance with project requirements.Reviewing test reports to ensure quality and performance standards are met.Skills of an Electrical Engineer (PE)Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit MEP.Strong ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.Fluent in the National Electric Code with a solid grasp of facility power distribution systems.Skilled in applying engineering solutions while balancing budget, schedule, and performance.Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to learn new manufacturing processes.Experience with power system modeling software; willing to learn SKM Powertools for system studies.Requirements:BS in Electrical EngineeringPE LicensePassed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam4+ years of on the job experience ***NO SPONSORSHIP OR RECENT GRADUATE***Location: Verona, WIOnsite, Monday- FridaySalary: $75,000- $140,000 (This is heavily dependent on relevant on the job experience)Our client provides a competitive benefits package including PTO, 401(k) with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
