Materials Test Engineer

Our client, a leading vehicle manufacturer, is looking for a Test Engineer (Materials) to join their team ONSITE in Tustin, California! *** This begins as a 12-month contract, with an opportunity to extend at any timeResponsibilitiesPrepare and condition test specimens according to specificationsPerform adhesion testing using standard methods (e.g., lap shear, peel, tensile)Operate and maintain testing equipment such as universal testing machines, environmental chambers, and measurement toolsRecord and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and repeatabilityUtilize data analysis tools such as statistics, curve fitting, or other techniques to better understand resultsDocument procedures, observations, and results in detailed technical reportsCollaborate with internal engineers to refine test methods and interpret resultsFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspaceDesired Skills And ExperienceExperience in materials testing, preferably with polymers, coatings, or adhesivesFamiliarity with adhesion test methods (e.g., ASTM, ISO standards)Proficiency in data analysis and technical report writingHands-on experience with mechanical testing equipment such as Instron'sStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyBackground in materials science or similarApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.#LI-JP7
