We are looking for a passionate and skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team and lead our performance testing efforts across a variety of digital transformation projects. This role will primarily focus on ensuring optimal performance for our Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform as part of a larger replatforming initiative.Key ResponsibilitiesTransformation Strategy & PlanningInternalize Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) go-live strategies, aligning with technology decisions.Gain insights into other Digital Transformation programs within the organization to understand the broader context.Review, assess, and refine existing testing strategies for performance optimization.Champion a performance-first mindset across teams and advocate for performance strategies within the replatforming program.Execution of Transformation ProjectsCreate and maintain detailed performance test plans, test cases, and results documentation.Configure and manage performance test environments, ensuring optimal conditions for testing.Work closely with the SFCC delivery team to drive ongoing performance testing initiatives and ensure successful program execution.Refining Operational ProcessesLead performance action planning discussions, developing methods to track and optimize performance results across teams.Synthesize and actively monitor IT performance metrics across omnichannel systems, contributing to technical capacity planning and tuning.Define key system performance metrics, targets, and SLAs, ensuring system reliability and scalability.Build a business case for implementing upstream monitoring capabilities to track system health early in the process.Define and maintain testing standards, tools, and methodologies for consistency across teams and vendors.Talent DevelopmentProvide hands-on support for performance testing initiatives, including performing code reviews in collaboration with Tech Leads.Mentor and train delivery teams on best practices in performance testing, helping to foster a culture of excellence in testing.Advocate for a performance-focused development culture within omnichannel teams.Required Skills & ExperienceProven expertise in performance testing, including experience with tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, K6, or similar.Demonstrated experience in digital transformation or replatforming projects, particularly in retail or eCommerce.Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical, business, and vendor teams to align performance goals with organizational objectives.Knowledge of performance testing strategies for complex, large-scale platforms.Preferred Industry & Project ExperienceRetail or eCommerce background, with hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) or similar platforms.Expertise in digital transformation projects focusing on omnichannel performance and testing methodologies.
