Job Title: Chassis Design Engineer Duration : 12 months contract(possibility of extension)Location: Saline, MI 48176- OnsitePay: $50-54hr on w2 basis without benefitsholidayvacation.Note: *NO C2C**Looking for Local Candidate only*Job Description:Chassis design division is responsible for suspensionaxle, frame, tirewheel, shifter, steering wheel, steering system, brake system and controls. A chassis design team member has an opportunity to work on a variety of chassissystems over time.We have current opportunities to work in the Body-on-Frame truck group as well as in unibody group responsible for Sedan, SUV and Minivans. The position will report to the Sr Manager of the group.What you'll be doingCoordinate model life management for Chassis systems of Passenger car - Sedan, SUV, and Minivan models, focusing on the following:Arrange technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists updates based on vehicle change points or external group requestsPerform regulation and certification confirmation activitiesLead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as neededMonitor North America chassis field issues and warranty condition for chassiscomponents, including completing root cause investigations as needed.Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementationRequirements:What you bringBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalentExperience in Chassis design and developmentExperience in CATIA
