POSITION OVERVIEWResponsible for supporting the multi-state weekly payroll process & maintaining of employee time records. Ensures payroll activities are completed for timely, accurate and thorough processing of payroll for all company employees. Works closely with HR, management and employees to resolve any payroll-related issues.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Enters, maintains, and processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee's hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, and other information.Review weekly timesheets for completeness and accuracy.Ensure proper job coding and costing for all payroll-related transactions. Review and reconcile payroll discrepancies, ensuring compliance with both state and company regulations and policies. Collaborate with departmentsmanagement in multiple locations to ensure smooth payroll operations. Issuesreissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for reimbursements, reconciled benefits, and other deductions. Maintain up to date employee records including direct deposit information, pay rates, W2's changes. Collaborates with HR regarding employees on leave and managing benefit reconciliation upon their return. Assists with auditing of payroll and employee time records.Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of experience with processing payroll with a focus on job coding and costing.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Excellent organizational & time management skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.Ability to effectively prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
