C-Motive is seeking a Vice President of Product Engineering to spearhead the transition of our groundbreaking electrostatic motor technology from research to commercialization. You can find out more here: VP of Product Engineering, you will be a key member of the C-Motive Senior Leadership Team, responsible for leading the final development and product launch of our initial product family. You will oversee the motor, drive hardware, and software development teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs, strategic goals, and commercial timelines. This role requires a balance of technical leadership, product development expertise, and team management skills to bring our cutting-edge motors to market.What you will do: Establish and manage the product development process, moving designs from late-stage research to fully engineered products.Work closely with the CTO and COO to develop a cohesive product roadmap that aligns with our technology and operational strategies.Lead engineering teams in triaging and prioritizing development activities while ensuring efficient resource allocation.Define and oversee motor and drive testing procedures, including regulatory and certification processes.Collaborate with commercial, marketing, manufacturing, and R&D teams to integrate engineering efforts into overall business operations.Manage product development budgets and external engineering resources.Lead engineering development efforts, ensuring product specifications, quality targets, and market adoption goals are met.Develop hiring strategies and expand the engineering team as needed to support business growth.Who You Are:10+ years of experience in technical product development, with increasing leadership responsibility.Prior leadership experience at a venture-backed startup (Director level or above) strongly preferred.Demonstrated ability to launch complex, multi-disciplinary products involving electronics, firmware, mechanical systems, and wireless communications.Track record of on-time, on-budget product releases that meet market demands.Experience in motor, drive, or power electronics development is a plus.Strong background in cost-down design strategies and commodity product development.Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).A leader with a "Yes, if" rather than "No, because" mindset, dedicated to solving challenges creatively and collaboratively.Why work with us:Competitive compensation package, including Stock Options.
