Sr. R&D Engineer

Role: Sr. R&D EngineerLocation: Irvine, CA 92614Job Description:The Senior R&D Engineer will apply technical expertise and knowledge of Edwards' systems to optimize product development and support engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop, test, and improve products by designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing results, and providing recommendations.Create and update design control documents, including requirement specifications, risk assessments (DFMEA, AFMEAPFMEA), and technical summaries.Establish and document product and process specifications, including engineering models, drawings, work instructions, and test methods.Develop and execute engineering project plans, including design verification plans.Evaluate and collaborate with suppliers, defining acceptance criteria and establishing tolerances.Provide guidance and training to technicians, assigning tasks and overseeing test execution.Design parts, components, and subsystems, offering technical recommendations.Train, coach, and mentor junior engineers on processes and best practices.Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental regulations.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with 4+ years of experience ORMaster's degree with 3+ years of experience ORPh.D. in Engineering or a related field.Preferred Skills & Experience:Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with PTC Creo (CAD) and Windchill (PLM) preferred.Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.Experience with labindustrial equipment and medical device manufacturing processes.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience working in cleanroom environments and adherence to EHS and quality guidelines.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with senior stakeholders.
