Quality Assurance Specialists 3Salary: $58hr - $63hrLocation: Hybrid (Must be local to Portsmouth, NH w Travel Requirements)Citizenship: US citizenship RequiredClearance: Ability to obtain a Q clearanceImpact:Join our Institutional Quality and Performance Assurance-Quality Support Services (IQPA-QSS) team and make a significant impact on LANL's institutional project and programmatic quality assurance requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of J-Division's Dynamic Structure Design and Engineering Group (J-2) Hydrotesting and Sub-critical Experiments.Responsibilities and Duties:Review and prepare procurement documentation for quality assurance, engineering, and control requirementsDevelop, implement, and evaluate processes and procedures for an effective Quality Management SystemPerform onsite Non-Conformance Report (NCR) investigations and verificationsCoordinate and conduct audits and surveillances of quality-affecting engineering, procurement, construction, and project workEnsure quality assurance requirements are met during all phases of facility and equipment projectsEvaluate processes and procedures of sub-contractorsSupport pressure vessel production activitiesMinimum Qualifications:Knowledge of nuclear codes and standards (e.g., 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001)Experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel CodeAbility to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematicsEffective communication skills across all organizational levelsThree years of experience as an American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI)Current or previous certifications in three or more NDE Level II Inspections (RT, UT, MT, PT, VT), Piping or Pressure Vessel Inspection, or Mechanical InspectionsAbility to obtain a Q-level clearanceDesired Skills:Experience in nuclear and non-nuclear facility quality assuranceAuditor training or certificationKnowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and TolerancingAbility to obtain Human Reliability Program (HRP) certificationFamiliarity with MS Office, Adobe Pro, and Blue Bean softwareStrong teamwork and interpersonal skillsEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality assurance, industrial systems engineering, or related field3-8 years of related experience, depending on position levelEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredAssociates degree with extensive relevant experience may be consideredAdditional Information: Position commitment: 1 year, with possibility of extension and potential conversionTravel requirements: Short-term visits to Midwest and Northeast locationsWork location: 100% remote with travel to contractor sitesClearance: Q-clearance required (candidates able to obtain clearance may be considered)Work schedule: Flexible, depending on sub-contractor requirements (410s or 58s)Overtime: PossiblePhysical requirements: As described in the original job postingTo apply, please submit a comprehensive cover letter addressing how you meet the required and desired skills, along with your resume.
