Project Engineer - 6 month contract (potential to transition to full-time)JOB DESCRIPTION:Our life science client is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer who will be responsible for project coordination, scheduling, and financial tracking. The Project Engineer will work cross-functionally and support the Construction Manager, Project Controller, and broader project team in delivering the project. The Project Engineer will provide successful project coordination and communication, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.This is a multidisciplinary role and this individual will interface across many parts of the company to provide the best consulting service for our clients. Effective communication, positive relationship building, creative problem solving, and acting with a sense of urgency are essential for this role.You will understand the unique client needs and provide excellent customer service. Your client directed leadership and internal company management will work with you to ensure processes and support are in place to ensure your positive results.You will be entrusted to manage projects day-to-day for your clients autonomously; with the assurance that you also will have a team to provide problem-solving guidance.You will lead andor facilitate a project team's activities, including the development of the project work breakdown structure, creation of a communication matrix of project dashboard(s), update meetings and summary reporting to cover aspects of time, budget and goals as appropriate.Depending on scope and project complexity, you may be responsible for delivering multiple projects within the program.RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure project schedules and plans remain up to date, highlighting activities on critical path and escalating issues to appropriate stakeholders as soon as they arise.Manage and support site-wide projects to Implement paperless Work Order workflow in SAP (RedlineRevise SOP(s), initiate, and support Change Control, create training materials, & provide hands on training site wide).Project pre-planning for budget and timeline and understand the project's needs and goals.Project initiation planning with use of appropriate project management toolsskills, such as RACI Diagrams, Project Charter, Project Schedule, Budget tracking, etc to meet sensitive deadlines.Assist and support in the review and analysis of engineering tracker reports and identifying trends, risks and variances.Manage and work with cross-functional teams to generate strategies and timelines, identification and removal of program roadblocks, and risk mitigation planning.Perform Capital andor Expense project deliverables to time, cost and goals.Identify key critical milestones and generate appropriate resource and execution plan.Ability to support multiple departments.Manage the expectations and satisfaction of the project's team and stakeholders.Motivate, mentor and coach the project team as needed.Facilitate team communication and accountability by creating and optimizing team structures, meeting cadences and escalation processes.QUALIFICATIONS:4-8+ years' experience working on large projects andor programs.A minimum of 4 years of GMP experience.Passionate about the life science biotech industry.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Creative problem-solving skills.Strong organizational skills.Strong leadership and relationship management skills, with an ability to build good relationships with stakeholders and the wider site teams.Proven project and program management experience.Sufficiently proficient in MS-Project or equivalent project management software with a desire to gain further skill. Ability to create task dependencies, define resource utilization and actively manage to project critical path. Ability to update plans in real time during project meetings.Experience identifying risks, issues and key decisions, developing mitigation plans, escalate and drive solutions.Ability and desire to work within a high-performing team and collaborate effectively and respectfully with internal and external staff at all levels and of diverse backgrounds.Willingness to operate 100% onsite.
