Boccard Life Sciences, industrial integrator located in 35 countries, designs, manufactures, assembles, and installs process solutions for its customers worldwide in the Food & Ingredients, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and Brewing Industries.Quality & Safety ManagerThe Quality and Safety Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing environmental health and safety initiatives within the organization. They are tasked with coordinating and executing programs to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies, particularly focusing on the Boccard Management System (BMS) and the Boccard Project Management System (BPMS). Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Quality and Safety Manager is responsible for monitoring and addressing non-quality costs across the entire Business Unit (BU), with a primary objective of fostering continuous improvement.The overarching objective of the Quality and Safety Manager is to facilitate continuous improvement within the organization. By ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, company procedures, and best practices, they contribute to the enhancement of processes, systems, and overall performance across departments. Through collaboration with internal stakeholders and leveraging external standards such as ISO certifications, the Quality and Safety Manager strives to drive ongoing improvement initiatives that foster a culture of excellence and safety throughout the organization.Position Functions:Environmental Health and Safety CoordinationLead the implementation of programs to ensure the organization meets regulatory standards for environmental health and safety.Coordinate efforts to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.Safety Responsibilities and Boccard Management System (BMS) AdherenceDefine and communicate safety responsibilities to all employees, emphasizing adherence to the Boccard Management System (BMS).Ensure that staff at all company sites understand and follow BMS procedures.Tracking and ReportingMonitor and report non-quality costs, deviations, and areas for improvement across the organization.Manage continuous improvement initiatives to address identified issues and enhance pliance ManagementMaintain adherence to company procedures, ISO standards (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001), and document control protocols.Ensure all internal documents meet quality standards and are properly coded and managed.Project Management OversightOversee project management activities from initiation through closure, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), lessons learned, and customer satisfaction.Safety and Compliance AssuranceManage audits to ensure compliance with internal and external safety standards and regulations.Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and post-accident investigations to identify hazards and prevent future incidents.Training and OrientationDevelop and conduct safety training programs for employees, including orientation for new mittee Support and Policy AdherenceProvide support to the safety committee, offering technical advice and guidance as needed.Ensure adherence to all company policies, federal laws, and regulations related to safety and compliance.Requirements:Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Business or related field.Certificate in Safety and Risk Management and Project Management, an asset.Experience:Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience - safety, quality, and project management.HAZPOWER 40 CertificationOSHA 30 CertificationFirst Aid CPR certifiedSkills and Abilities:Ability to translate from English to French and vice-versaAbility to write in FrenchCompetency in MS suite and other data entry softwareFamiliar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresDetail orientedGreat communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational and multitasking skillsAbility to work with cross-functional teamsKnows how to challenge, inspire, and encourage othersKnowledge of Standards and guidelines (OSHA, CFR, EPA, ISO, etc.)Know federal and state laws, rules, regulations and standards for employee health and safety and chemical and hazardousCool under pressure; Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
