Paralegal Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful Paralegal works closely with the Attorney: · Oversee information management for confidential discovery materials. · Communicate effectively with potential and current clients, Court personnel, and State agencies. · Work with all aspects of case management, including case preparation and organizing case files (digital and physical).· Assist Attorney with legal research.· Prepare pleadings and legal memoranda. · Provide support during preparation for and attending testimonial hearings and trials as necessary.· Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient office operations.Qualifications for ParalegalThe right candidate for Paralegal will: · Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Paralegal, or equivalent legal or executive level assistance experience. · Learns new skills and processes quickly, with demonstrated problem solving skills. · Ability to work independently, and work as a part of a team. · Demonstrates high level of initiative and attention to detail and accuracy.· Have strong client services experience, including exceptional written and verbal communications. Experience with communications over social media for business is a plus. · Exercises good judgment with confidential matters, and takes ownership of decisions. · Possesses excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Required TechnologyOffice Technology proficiencies necessary include: · Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) · Scanner, copier, printer, Fax· Video Zoom Meetings (joining and scheduling)· Online Legal Research Services· Adobe Acrobat (PDF documents)· Familiarity with different digital file types (photo, video, document, etc.) and the proper applications to view them. · Social Medial for Business is a plus.· Experience with legal practice management software is a plus.
