Managing Director of Real EstateSummaryThe Managing Director of Real Estate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and strategically leveraging the airport's real estate portfolio to drive revenue generation, capital investment, and long-term growth. This position requires an experienced real estate professional with a strong background in property acquisition, disposition, and asset management, as well as a deep understanding of how to optimize real estate assets for financial returns. Responsible for legal boundary survey calculations analysis and final map check in, researching title data, set up and client relations.The Managing Director of Real Estate must be a strong relationship builder, negotiator, and someone who can maximize revenue across properties. Managing Director of Real Estate Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate management, property acquisition, and asset development, preferably within an airport, transportation, or infrastructure settingProven experience managing a portfolio valued at $100 million or moreStrong financial acumen with expertise in property valuation, deal structuring, and capital raising strategiesExcellent negotiation skills and a track record of executing complex real estate transactionsAbility to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government entities, private investors, and community stakeholdersStrong leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams and cross-functional projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a public-sector or government-regulated real estate environmentKnowledge of FAA regulations and airport land use planningCertification in real estate, such as CCIM, CPM, or a real estate brokerage license, is a plus.Managing Director of Real Estate Description:Strategic Real Estate ManagementDevelop and implement a comprehensive real estate strategy that maximizes the value and return on investment of the airport's real estate portfolioIdentify and execute real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and joint ventures, to support the airport's growth and financial goalsLeverage airport-owned properties to generate capital funding for additional infrastructure and investment opportunitiesProperty Development & Asset OptimizationOversee the management and development of a real estate portfolio with a combined value of $100 million or more.Identify underutilized assets and create strategies to increase their value through redevelopment, lease negotiations, or other value-add initiativesWork closely with finance, legal, and planning teams to ensure compliance with airport regulations and optimize lease agreementsStakeholder & Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with surrounding property owners, developers, investors, and government agencies to foster collaboration and new opportunitiesNegotiate and structure complex real estate deals that align with both the airport's strategic plan and stakeholder interestsServe as the airport's primary point of contact for real estate matters, advocating for policies and initiatives that support sustainable growth.Financial & Performance OversightDevelop and manage the real estate department's budget, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.Monitor market trends and conduct financial analysis to support investment decisions and risk management.Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership, providing insights on portfolio performance, market conditions, and strategic opportunities.WHO WE AREChoosing the Hire Road is about shared success, active and committed partnerships and relationships that last.
