The candidate we are looking for is detail oriented and will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer-controlled cutting machines to shape or cut materials like wood, plastic, metal, or composite materials according to precise specifications. Machine Operation:o Set up, program, and operate CNC routers, cutters, and other automated machinery to cut, carve, and shape materials.o Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to determine machine setup and cutting parameters.o Ensure materials are properly secured and aligned on the machine bed.2. Programming and Setup:o Input correct data into CNC machines, such as cutting paths, speeds, and material specifications.o Modify programs based on specific project needs and to resolve any issues that arise during production.o Ensure correct tooling and work-holding devices are used for different jobs.3. Quality Control:o Monitor machine performance to ensure parts are cut to required dimensions and meet the specifications.o Inspect finished parts for defects or deviations from the design and make adjustments as needed.o Maintain high standards for precision and quality in every job.4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:o Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including lubrication and cleaning.o Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.o Keep a record of maintenance activities and machine performance.5. Safety and Cleanliness:o Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.o Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free from hazards.o Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while operating machinery.6. Collaboration and Communication:o Work closely with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize production schedules and workflows.o Communicate effectively about any production issues, machine maintenance, or material concerns.7. Documentation:o Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, machine settings, and any adjustments made.o Assist in documenting operating procedures or any changes to machine settings.Skills and Qualifications:o Technical Skills: Proficient in operating CNC routers, cutters, and other CNC machinery.o Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.o Attention to Detail: Excellent focus on precision and the ability to detect flaws in materials or cuts.o Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify issues and implement solutions.o Mathematical Ability: Comfort with measurements, calculations, and conversions, such as angles, diameters, and tolerances.o Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and equipment handling.Education and Experience:o High school diploma or equivalent (GED).o Relevant technical training or certification in CNC machinery operation required.Previous experience as a CNC operator or cutter is requiredCompensation 60,000.00 - 110,000.00 Annually - Salary will be based on your talent, skill & experience and determined by the hiring managerFull-TimeBenefits401k
