The Finance Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's financial operations, including project accounting and profitability, financial performance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role involves working closely with business units to ensure financial data integrity, optimization of operational processes, and contribute to strategic decision-making. Provide financial insights and support assigned business areas in interpretingEnsure accurate project set-up across ERP systemAnalyze financial data related to projects including costs and profitabilityEnsure the completion and accuracy of accounting and financial processing such as month-end revenue and contract balancesDevelop revenue recognition and cost of sales forecasts and budgets and track performanceAnalyze and interpret backlog and pipeline compared to existing and projected capacityProduce financial data for monthly and ad hoc reporting Provide data to support project health checks such as project profitability and overrun analysesDevelop and provide data support commercial and technical teams with project cancellations (% completion, time spent, amounts invoiced and paid)The education, experience, and skills required to be successful in this role include:5 years of level accounting or finance experience in a midsized professional services organizationBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related fieldAdvanced level of proficiency in Excel with excellent analytical and technical skillsExperience using and proficiency in financial systems (NetSuite experience is a plus)Experience in revenue recognition and contract interpretationDeadline driven and ability to operate in a fast paced and evolving environment
