With service locations inTexas and Oklahoma, The Trident Company provides top-quality products,craftsmanship, and competitive pricing to ensure customer satisfaction.RoleDescription:This is a full-time on-site role for an Inside SalesRepresentative located in Richardson, TX at The Trident Company. The InsideSales Representative will be responsible for customer satisfaction, orderentry, report follow-up, lead generation, account management, and providingexcellent customer service on a day-to-day basis. The Inside SalesRepresentative is responsible to direct sell to established customers and todevelop sales prospects within the assigned territory. The Inside SalesRepresentative will grow profitable sales within a strategic and opportunisticsegment. The ISR must generate value added business and introduce products toestablished clients with coordination of the Outside Sales Representative. TheInside Sales Representative will have a full understanding of sales, customerrelations, steel fabrication and safety. Reports to Sales Manager. FLSA StatusNON-Exempt.Dutiesand Responsibilities:• Maintains key customers to ensure a continued baseof profitable industrial business. Maintains and expands the database ofprospects of the organization. Identifies the target lead decision makers inorder to initiate sales process.• Provides profitable transactional business throughsolicitation, quoting, email or other tools to grow the business.• Estimates, quotes effectively customer projects.Converts opportunities into invoiced sales.• Exceeds assigned sales goals for all competitiveproduct lines. Meets and exceeds assigned sales goals while using market-drivenleads.• Executes sales cancellations or changes in thesales orders, and communicates the changes with the affected internaldepartments.• Plans and executes the sales plan in the definedterritory. Acts proactively to create opportunities for new business.• Maintains a current understanding of industrytrends and technical developments that influence target accounts.• Monitors, analyzes and communicates sales data tocontribute to production service schedule.• Responds to customer information requests;collaborates with cross-functional departments to ensure a timely and accurateresponse. Interacts with Outside Sales, Quality Assurance and Purchasing on adaily basis.• Articulates the benefits of products to prospectivecustomers relative to the customer's needs persuasively via the telephone.• Learns and masters the company's products andoperational procedures. Represents Trident in a positive and professionalmanner.• Knows the competition and market. Providesexemplary customer service without compromise. Executes outbound and inboundaccount management; coordinates with production control for status of ordersand expedites orders. Resolves customer service issues as needed.• Makes outbound follow-up calls to existingcustomers via telephone and email to cross-sell and up-sell. Emphasizesproducts, service, features and benefits, quotes price and discusses creditterms.• Ensures the delivery requirement to customers ismet.• Forges relationships with Outside SalesRepresentatives, Production Managers and Support staff to ensure qualitycustomer service and customer satisfaction. Cooperates with Outside SalesRepresentative to determine strategic approaches for sales.• Participates in professional and skill training.• Regular and predictable attendance is required forthe duties of the Inside Sales Representative; software is company property andcannot be downloaded onto a non-network computer.• Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code ofConduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.• Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:• Must be 18 years of age or older• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration orrelated field required• Experience in industrial metal fabrication, metalsales andor industrial sales preferred but not required.• Ability to communicate oral & writteneffectively with both internal & external customers• Ability to multi-task with effective results• Excellent problem solving, time management andorganizational skills required• Must have a professional demeanor and an ability tocommunicate effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented,deadline driven organization.• Ability to learn new skills and technology as itpertains to business and fabrication needs• Ability to demonstrate professionalism &diplomacy to include telephone etiquette• Good analytical & organizational skills, ableto make sound decisions utilizing the data on hand• Computer Literacy; Microsoft Office Products andERP.• Must have demonstrated entrepreneurial acumen witha competitive edge to ensure sales success and customer satisfaction.WorkingConditions:• Position works primarily in an officecubicleenvironment.• Constant Telephone Activity; must have a highcomfort level of initiating conversation• Moderate noise levels• Dust, fumes and airborne particles • When travel is required, will be exposed to varyingoutdoor weather conditionsPhysicalRequirements:Occupation requires being sedentary greater than orequal to 80% of the time (> 7 hours per day)• Sitting, standing, hearing, talking,handlingfingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, walk, climb, squat orkneel, bend• Lift, carry, push andor pull up to a maximum of 25pounds without assistance.• Regularly required to work on multiple concurrenttasks with constant interruptions• Position requires some limited travelThe Trident Company has reviewed this job descriptionto ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
