A Snapshot of Your DayIn this role, you will be responsible for preparing parts, operating equipment, and managing processes for the application of thermal spray on component parts. The process combines both manual and automated methods with varying parameters to create specific thermal coating structures.RequirementsComponent Preparation: Proven experience in masking, surface protection, and operating surface preparation machines for thermal spray applications. Must be skilled in post-processing residual overspray and refining surface finishes.Robotics Operation & Control: Expertise in programming and operating robotics, including toolpath programming and controlling gas flow. Ability to adjust programs and gas flows for precise thermal spray results.CNC & Auxiliary Equipment: 2-4 years of hands-on CNC experience, focusing on robotics and auxiliary equipment. Must have both programming and operational experience.Thermal Coatings: Strong background in thermal spray applications, with experience in both manual and automated processes.Other Key RequirementsApplicants must successfully pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.How you will make an impactOperate robotic systems to apply gases and powders for coating parts according to specifications, ensuring proper preparation and post-processing of components.Utilize surface preparation equipment to perform manual tasks such as masking, part conditioning, and blending when necessary.Maintain equipment functionality by adding mediapowder, checking barrels, replacing nozzleshoses, and ensuring the proper fluid levels and terpret technical documents (e.g., drawings, blueprints, specifications) to identify necessary tools and ensure operations meet Siemens standards.Load and unload parts with material handling devices, assist with crane operations, and maintain accurate records while following quality standards.Keep the work area clean by performing preventative maintenance, ensuring proper tool storage, and supporting co-workers as needed.
