TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a Central Utility Controls Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions for Boiler, Chiller, Water Polishing, and Balance of Plant (BOP) systems. This role involves working with cutting-edge automation technologies from industry-leading OEMs.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Development: Design and develop Functional Specifications, including Sequence of Operations (SOO) and Bill of Materials (BOMs).Technical Support: Assist Electrical Designers in creating project drawing packages.Automation Programming: Develop, test, and deploy PLCs, DCSs, and HMIs for Central Utility applications.Testing & Commissioning:Develop and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) plans.Support loop checks, start-up, and commissioning activities for system deployment.Customer Interaction:Provide formal and informal training for customers.Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing automation systems.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.Experience: 3-6 years of relevant controls engineering experience.Technical Expertise:Knowledge of Boiler Combustion Controls, 3-Element Control, Burner Management Systems, Chiller Controls & Staging, Water Polishing, Combined Heat & Power, and District Heating or Cooling.Experience with automation platforms such as Rockwell Automation, AVEVA, Ignition, Emerson DeltaV, or similar.Proficiency in industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, EthernetIP, DNP3, OPC, BACnet, Profinet, etc.Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, site visits, and fieldwork.Preferred QualificationsPE (Professional Engineer) License.Leadership: Experience leading teams or managing project scopes.TRC Talent Solutions is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
