Construction Manager 2📠Location: Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) - TA-51📆 Assignment Duration: 3-5 Years (Potential for ExtensionConversion)📋 Work Schedule: 4-10s (Four 10-hour shifts per week)🔑 Clearance Requirement: Q Clearance (Not required at hiring, but must be obtainable)🚗 Driving Required: Yes (Government or Personal Vehicle)âœˆï¸ Travel: YesðŸ Relocation & Per Diem: AvailableImpactAs a Construction Manager 2, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of complex construction projects at LANL. This position directly supports Line-Item ProjectsALDPI PIT INFRA and involves coordinating construction engineering, controls, and contract administration. Your leadership will ensure seamless operations, adherence to standards, and effective collaboration across multiple construction teams.Responsibilities and DutiesOversee the organization of construction engineering, controls, and contracts administration.Ensure proper staffing and coordination across multiple construction projects.Maintain compliance with construction engineering standards and practices.Provide group support services to facilitate smooth project execution.Develop plans, policies, and project phases to address unique construction challenges.Conduct research on complex problems, offering solutions and recommendations to senior management.Ensure secure work environments and adherence to LANL's protocols and safety standards.Minimum QualificationsDOE Construction Field Management Experience is Required (Candidates without this experience will not be considered).Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Q Clearance.Ability to read, interpret, and apply procedural oversight to construction processes, including civil, electrical, and mechanical work.Strong communication skills to coordinate with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.Technical design interpretation experience.Desired SkillsExperience managing large-scale construction projects in a secure environment.Strong leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary teams.Knowledge of government construction regulations and compliance.Adaptability in high-security, fast-paced environments.Education and Experience RequirementsNo degree required, but a BABS or equivalent is preferred.10+ years of experience in construction management OR 8+ years with a master's degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.CertificationsRegistrations: Not required, but preferred in technical disciplines.Join Us!This is a high-impact, long-term opportunity to work on mission-critical construction projects at LANL.
