Job Title: Electronics Engineering AssociateLocation: Columbus, IN Industry: ManufacturingJob Description: Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for an Electronics Engineering Associate to add to their growing team located in Columbus, IN. Our client is seeking an individual with the following competencies:Data Acquisition - Prepares samples, verifies equipment calibration and performs tests according to an approved standard procedure or work instruction in a manner which ensures, and results in, data that can be trusted and delivered to the engineer or customer. Data Reporting - Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, the data and analysis to allow the engineer and customer to understand the results and form accurate conclusions and recommendations. Product Problem Solving - Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence. Product Software Design and Construction - Constructs product software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles; verifies software updates to ensure quality products. Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Decision quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward. Technical documentation of customer user guidesfilesinstructions Innovates to improve logger quality and capability Learn cellular and networking technology application and SIM management Train customers to a basic knowledge level of tools and process Maintain adequate logger inventory & work with the lab project planner to order hardware Support customer troubleshooting - desktoptest cellvehicle Work with other supporting team members to support ADSC data loggers Debug CAN network issues Troubleshooting - desktoptest cellvehicle Supporting walk in customers with any electronic troubleshooting issues Support hardware sourcing for project work Process work orders in Maximo Utilize lab database kiosk Local travel may be necessarySelf-motivated, detailed oriented, minimizes distractions, drives for continuous improvement Willing to help others, be a team player, and have the ability and desire to learn about technology Responsibilities: Performs analyses, data acquisition and interpretation, technical reporting, and maintenance of Electronic Engineering tools and standard and specialized test equipment, while positively impacting the organization's performance.Actively performs all laboratory work priorities and activities, equipment and instruments calibrations and maintenance, technical reporting and documentation, and interfacing with departmental management, customers, engineers, and other teams.Provides technical expertise and support for planning, scheduling, and testing on Electronic Systems test equipment andor vehicles.Utilizes advanced skills and technical expertise to perform analyses and data acquisition, provide interpretation of results, and write technical reports.Develops and applies advanced test methods to improve laboratory capabilities on specialized analytical instruments and equipment.Ensures interactions with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions; develops and gives technical presentations.Ensures maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions.Participates in improvement projects; demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks.Requirements:US Citizen or Green Card HolderBS Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science, or 2-year Associates with 2 years' experienceExcellent communication skillsAbility to remote "into things" CAN network experienceCANape experience Cellular technology experienceBest-In-Class-BenefitsWe are in the people business; treating people right is our ONLY priority.
