Image Quality Engineer

Role: Image Quality EngineerLocation: Redmond, WA (Onsite)Job Term: 12 months contract with possibility of extension (only W2)In this role, you will work with a team of scientists & engineers, using internally developed simulation tools to predict system-level performance of novel products and prototypes. Analysis of the simulation results will be used to directly improve productprototype performance.Job ResponsibilitiesUse simulation tools to model the end-to-end performance of display systemsReport analysis of these simulations to establish specifications Minimum Qualifications:Knowledge of several of the following:µLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD, etc. based displays, display metrologycalibration,image signal processing, camera ISP, display pipeline architecture, digital filters, colorimetry, color space conversions, imaging waveguides, image quality metrics, and human perception.Experience with image algorithmISP development, convolutions, Fourier transformsDeep experience in MATLABBS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent workeducation experience.Preferred Qualifications:MS in the field of Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related degree, PhD preferred5+ years of experience in research or advanced displaycamera developmentor these display systems and ensure a successful productCollaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiencesTop 3 must-have HARD skills:Camera - image pipeline designDisplay - image pipeline designtone mapping and gamut mappinggeneral background image signal processing or digital signal processingexperience with optical or distortion correction, color imagery
