This permanent role offers salary + benefits with a leading global engineering services company.Role Overview:Seeking an Industrial HVAC Design Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in the Chemical, FMCG, or Pharmaceutical industries. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing HVAC systems for industrial applications while ensuring compliance with industry standards, energy efficiency, and environmental control. The role involves field support, vendor coordination, troubleshooting, and commissioning. Experience in pharmaceutical HVAC design, cleanroom environments, GMP, and contamination control is a plus.Key Responsibilities:1. HVAC System Design & EngineeringDesign and develop industrial HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), ductwork, chilled water, and process cooling systems.Perform heat load calculations, airflow distribution, and psychrometric analysis for critical areas.Create and review HVAC layouts, P&IDs, and GA drawings.Select chillers, cooling towers, fans, pumps, and filtration systems for process needs.Design cleanroom HVAC systems, including airlocks, HEPAULPA filtration, pressure balancing, and air change rate calculations.Optimize airflow distribution, humidity control, and integrate fire safety, BMS, and energy recovery systems.2. Compliance & Energy EfficiencyEnsure HVAC designs meet ASHRAE, ISHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, OSHA, USFDA, EU GMP, WHO GMP regulations.Maintain design calculations, specifications, and datasheets.Conduct CFD simulations, energy efficiency analysis, and risk assessments (FMEA).3. Site Support & ConstructionProvide technical support during HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning.Assist contractors with troubleshooting and resolving technical queries.Ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards.Conduct pre-commissioning checks, system validation, airflow balancing, and pressure testing.4. Vendor Coordination & SupportLiaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to meet project requirements.Review vendor proposals and technical documentation.Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).Address vendor-related deviations and non-conformities.Key Skills & Competencies:Expertise in thermodynamics, psychrometrics, and heat transfer.Experience in cleanroom HVAC, pharmaceutical validation, and air filtration systems.Strong problem-solving, analytical, and regulatory compliance knowledge.Excellent communication, vendor management, and teamwork skills.4o
