Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe Outside Sales Representative position is a strategic sales role within SMT Corp. The Outside Sales Representative is the point of accountability for developing and supporting existing and new accounts as assigned. The Outside Sales Representative is supported by inside sales for quoting and order entry. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Identify and develop existing and new accounts and new opportunities. Implement and execute sales campaigns and activity in target market areas sectors. Visit and present capabilities to existing accounts and target accounts. Networking within accounts to develop a relationship across all relevant roles. Analyze the territory's customers, competitors, and markets with respect to SMT Corp capabilities.Effectively interface with internal stakeholders, customers, and representatives to champion and win new business, and secure & support existing business.Review and respond to incoming RFQs and Leads. Coordinate SMT Corp response and be the point of first contact for accounts as assigned. Set pricing, lead times, terms & conditions, in accordance with company policies. Negotiate and close orders with customers and accurately forecast orders closure.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Participate in driving growth initiatives All opportunities across the account base to be tracked and consistently updated within the company CRM and quote tracking systems. Provide accurate and timely monthly forecasts for assigned accounts.Assist with company marketing and sales promotion activities, seminars, trade shows, etc.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's DegreeExperience Years: 5-8+ years Experience Type: Aerospace and Defense· Proven verbal and written presentation and commercial skills. Equivalent combination of education and experienceUS Citizen or green card holderDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to scout, qualify & capture new business opportunities.Superior follow up skills to drive and close on actions for leads, opportunities & issues.Ability to develop strong working relationships with customers, sales partners and internal personnel to facilitate the capture of new and existing business. Relevant customer contacts with experience in Independent Distribution and Electronics testing. Ability to engage at multiple levels within a customer including senior management, engineering, quality, program management and supply chain. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to sell & promote to both external & internal customers.Fluent in English.Proficient with major CRM tools and usage.Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Ability to travel up to 50%Sales experience related to any of the following: semiconductor technology, independent distribution, MIL-STD testing and sourcing services, supply chain management, test & measurement, power, processors, time sync products, and a wide range of electronics components. Compensation: Base salary plus monthly commission on assigned account sales. Typical company benefits.
