SUMMARY: The Parts Manager leads and manages all aspects and processes of the parts department. They are responsible for Parts Ordering, Parts Inventory Management, and Financial Accountability. Performs other related tasks as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Organize all parts buying activities and strategiesManages Inventory and Parts RoomAssures complete and accurate financial reporting and accountabilitySource outside services for repairing parts that can be repaired as an alternative to outright replacementManages Parts Department staff and assures efficiency and diligenceCoordinate with aircraft mechanics and technicians to understand their parts needsOrder new parts and supplies as needed, ensuring a balance between inventory costs and availabilityInspect received parts for quality and accuracy, verifying against order specifications and quality standardsDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturersMaintain accurate records of inventory, including parts used, parts ordered, and parts receivedPlan and forecast future parts needs based on maintenance schedules and anticipated repairsEnsure compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards in parts storage and handlingCommunicate with team members and other departments regarding parts availability and delivery schedulesAssure inventory control procedures to minimize waste and lossOther duties as assigned by managementBasic Qualifications: Responsible for performing duties with independence and diligence.Must have experience with administrative functions and demonstrate knowledge of organizational skills.Experience & Education: .• Aviation Parts Department Management required• Personnel Management Experience required • High School Education or GED equivalent.A&P License is preferred Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and portable stands and navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odors, dust. Must be able to liftmaneuver up to 50 pounds.Ability to commuterelocate:Lawrenceville, GA 30046: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
