Litigation Paralegal

Looking for a full-time paralegal for a small, but quickly expanding, civil litigation firm located in Lafayette, CA. Paralegal with litigation experience required. This position is a unique opportunity to gain valuable, first-hand legal experience while working directly under multiple attorneys. Looking for someone who is hard-working, organized, detail-oriented, and flexible. This position will work at our Lafayette office Monday through Friday. Responsibilities• Preparing claims for litigation from intake to resolution under attorney supervision, including preparing administrative submissions, drafting state and federal court pleadings, and preparing for trial andor arbitration.• Conducting legal research and prepare memoranda.• Managing and executing document preservation and litigation hold notices.• Preparing, maintaining, and updating electronic case files to ensure efficiency, organization, proper case management, and understanding of case status by other employees and attorney.• Identifying and completing periodic tasks related to the management of each case, documenting notes in the case management system.• Managing, updating, and entering calendar deadlines, including court dates and statutes of limitation.• Preparing and responding to written discovery, cataloging evidence, and organizing evidence in anticipation of trial.• Scheduling depositions and summarizing deposition testimony.• Performing other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent5+ years' as Litigation ParalegalParalegal certification requiredExperience with commercial litigation, real estate, or employment law preferredComputer literacy and familiarityfluency with Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.Ability to work overtime when needed
