As we are expanding rapidly, we are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in supporting our organization's efforts to mature business processes and commercialize our innovative technology. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operation. The Maintenance Mechanic will troubleshoot mechanical issues, conduct repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and assist in maintaining the safety and functionality of the equipment and the workplace.Key Responsibilities:Creation of a preventative and predictive maintenance program Perform routine and emergency maintenance on various mechanical systems and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, HVAC systems, and production machineryDiagnose mechanical failures and make repairs to machinery, equipment, and systems in a timely and effective mannerConduct preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and inspections to avoid future breakdownsRead and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to understand mechanical systems and perform repairs accuratelyMonitor and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance, making adjustments when necessaryUse hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform tasks, following safety proceduresEnsure compliance with safety regulations, workplace safety standards, and proper maintenance proceduresMaintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and any issues encountered during maintenanceAssist with the installation of new equipment and machinery, providing support during setup and ensuring proper operationWork closely with other maintenance staff, production teams, and supervisors to identify areas of improvement and implement solutionsAssist in the procurement of spare parts and tools as neededRespond to on-call emergencies and perform repairs outside of regular hours when necessaryQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in mechanical maintenance or a related field is preferredProven experience (5+ years) as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar mechanical role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing settingStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and machinery troubleshootingAbility to work with mechanical blueprints, technical documents, and schematicsExperience with welding, fabrication, and machining is a plusProficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentStrong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailAbility to work independently or as part of a teamPhysical ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periodsFlexibility to work on different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as requiredAdditional Information:You will be working in a small team environment where teamwork and good relationships with other team members are critical.
