The Sales Engineering position will coordinate product design and engineering functions, maintain good customer relations, and meet all design and development objectives. This role will drive innovation and product development through skills and driving a culture of functionality and growth within OAV.Your Role at OAV: Use SolidWorks to create and design products and concepts.Gather materials and resources needed to design the product.Test the product for usability and safety.Oversee the manufacturing and production process to set standards.Evaluate and test the market for demand.Identify and solve engineering and manufacturing problemsWork together with other engineers to meet the identified goals and metrics.Continuous improvement and accountability, professionalism and commitment to company values and behaviors of OAV's culture.Ensure products are on time to customers and that products meet all customer expectations.Plans and Operations budget, including capital improvement projects to ensure adherence to approved plans, schedules, and budget.Drive a lean operating system mentality and culture in a highly structured and prescriptive way.Continually evolve product efficiency and assess opportunities to reduce cost and increase product performance.Ensure effective allocation of resources across all engineering areas to accomplish customer-driven priorities.Find new ways to optimize product performance and improve OAV's competitive working, representing the organization, and helping promote the interests of the company.Ensure compliance and ongoing certification to ISO standards and customer requirements.Requirements:Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering.Bachelor's degree relating to engineering or relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.Aerodynamic, motion systemair bearingfoil bearing design experience is a big plus.Experience in fluid dynamics is a big plus.Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other world world-class manufacturing systems.Strong aptitude for root cases analysis and troubleshooting creative issues.Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.Ability to work well under pressure.Possess skills and behaviors that foster positive relationships with employees, peers, management, and other levels within the organization.
