Civil Engineering Project Manager - MunicipalLocation: Bryan, TexasDepartment: MunicipalEmployment Type: Regular Full-TimeJob OverviewWe are seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering team in Bryan, Texas! This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while supporting a range of public sector projects, including capital improvements, grant work, planning, and zoning reviews. If you're looking for a team-oriented role with ample opportunities for career growth, this position is perfect for you!Key ResponsibilitiesLead municipal engineering projects, including design, planning, and construction of capital improvement projects and grant work.Prepare construction plans and specifications, public bid documents, cost estimates, and other essential project documents.Evaluate and resolve issues related to public works and municipal engineering.Manage construction projects to meet deadlines and stay within budget.Stay informed on state regulations and requirements impacting municipal engineering projects.Review land development ordinances and agency regulations to assess land development limitations.Perform site investigations and due diligence, including ordinance reviews and utility service research.Design stormwater management systems and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.Oversee grading design, ensuring value engineering and site safety through proper design slopes.Design utility systems such as stormwater conveyance, sanitary sewer, and recreational facilities.Resolve vertical and horizontal utility conflicts, ensuring system integrity.Design and implement soil erosion and sediment control strategies, including best management practices and construction sequencing.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.At least 5 years of experience in municipal engineering and capital project design.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.Proven experience in managing and supervising project teams, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and budget adherence.Strong project tracking and oversight skills.Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification is preferred.Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication and understanding of project documents.What We OfferWe prioritize the well-being and success of our employees, offering a supportive and flexible work environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
