Electrical Preconstruction Manager

Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Preconstruction Manager (or Senior Electrical Estimator) to join our team. This key role will focus on managing complex electrical projects in sectors such as Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Aviation, with project values ranging from $5M to $50M. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in electrical contracting, project management, estimating, and preconstruction processes, and will be proficient with tools like Accubid or Accubid Anywhere.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of electrical estimators, ensuring high-quality and accurate estimates for complex electrical projects.Develop large-scale estimates and delegate tasks effectively to team members.Mentor and guide junior estimators, providing support, training, and decision-making assistance.Oversee the department's bid board and efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency.Review proposals from other estimators, ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and completeness.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to clarify project scopes and resolve any issues.Foster and maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business.Support construction and special projects with detailed work breakdowns, estimates, and scope management.Collaborate with vendors and internal teams, including Low Voltage, Fire Alarm, and Security specialists.Lead business development efforts to sustain strong client relationships and expand the business.Write clear, precise scope letters of inclusion and exclusion for proposals to eliminate ambiguities.Take charge of Accubid database management for accurate take-offs and quantification processes.Review vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure alignment with project scope and requirements.Provide cost analysis and reviews for various types of projects, considering equipment, schedules, and impacts.Key Requirements:Industry Experience: At least 1-3 years of experience in Healthcare, Mission Critical, and Aviation sectors.Project Experience: Proven track record in managing large and complex projects ranging from $5M to $50M.Software Skills: Proficiency in Accubid or Accubid Anywhere.Electrical Expertise: Significant hands-on experience as an electrician, electrical project manager, division manager, electrical estimator, or preconstruction manager.Licenses & Education: Journeyman or Master Electrical License, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related munication & Business Development: Strong communication, organizational, and business development skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.
