The award-winning ghd tools are used by 200,000 stylists around the world and sold in 30+ countries and more than 45,000 premium salons.Renowned for game changing innovation and superior performance, at ghd we are on a mission to transform the lives of women via the power of a good hair day!ROLE OVERVIEWResponsible for working across functional teams to optimize demand accuracy for the US and Canada, improving working capital performance.Specifically, accountable for the creation of accurate forecasts using models and business intelligence, as well as decision support and strategy execution. This is key to ghd's plans to increase Supply Chain efficiency for North America region, enabling the reduction of working capital, better customer service and an improved systems infrastructure.JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with Key Account Managers to maintain accurate demand forecast for US & Canadian customers.Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and inventory levels to identify patterns and insights that impact demand forecast.Drive the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the US and Canada.Measure impact of forecast accuracy and other S&OP metrics - report and communicate achievements and action plans.Provide actionable recommendations to optimize inventory management, reduce stockouts and overstock, and improve overall forecast accuracy.Proactively identify, communicate and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve optimum finished goods levels. Identify and quantify opportunities and risks.Drive accountability and partner with the UK global Supply Chain team to communicate changes.Regularly check for excess and obsolete finished goods risks, report and work with other functional teams to clear and prevent further occurrences.Develop and enhance forecasting tools and models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of demand planning process and reporting.Supporting and co-ordinating role with Supply Chain for day-to-day fulfilment of demand.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS3 years' experience in a similar role within a consumer business.Experience in demand planning in global environment - long lead times.Strong analytical skills, ability to focus on both detail and big picture.Experience with Demand Forecasting Software, Blue Yonder preferred.Strong quantitative aptitude with advanced Excel mercial understanding in an omni-channel environment.Persuasive communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Proactive problem-solver with the confidence to suggest and implement improvements to existing process.Enthusiastic and hands-on style, self-reliant.Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.WHY JOIN US?We value a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we welcome people of different backgrounds, experiences, skills, and perspectives.
