Join a well-established civil engineering firm in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in land development, urban planning, and infrastructure projects, with a strong commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.Position Overview:As a Civil Engineer with a focus on land development design, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing site development projects for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, analyze, and manage projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with local regulations, environmental guidelines, and project specifications.Key Responsibilities:Lead and contribute to the design and development of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.Prepare detailed design plans, reports, and specifications for site development and infrastructure projects.Conduct site assessments and prepare feasibility studies, coordinating with environmental, survey, and planning teams.Review and manage design calculations, plans, and specifications for compliance with local regulations and project requirements.Coordinate with municipalities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and project milestones.Perform stormwater management design, hydrology studies, and other site-specific engineering analyses.Assist with the preparation of bid documents, cost estimates, and project schedules.Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).Professional Engineer (PE) license in California or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) actively pursuing PE license.Minimum of 3 years of experience in land development design and civil engineering, ideally in the San Francisco Bay Area.Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, etc.).Strong knowledge of land development processes, including zoning, permitting, and local regulations.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to project management.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.Why Apply?Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for career growth and professional development.A collaborative work environment with a focus on innovation and excellence.Be part of a team that is making a tangible impact on urban development and infrastructure in one of the most dynamic regions in the country.
