Job Title: Senior Authorised Person - 220kVStart date: ASAPDuration: Until June 2026 - renewable extendableProject Location: Offshore Rhode IslandType: ROTATION - 2 weeks On 2 weeks Off, 12 hours per day. Deadline for submittals applications = 2.21.25Other details:Project will pay for transport from consultant's home to office in Quonset or Providence Airport (and back)Specified GWOother courses needed for traveling offshoreGWO courses to be paid by CompanyRotation 14 days on14 days off when offshoreWorking in office in Quonset or Providence could be required and then it is Monday to FridayTraveling for training, FATs and other educational purposes will be needed (in this case traveling costs will be reimbursed by Company)Accommodation offshore is paid by CompanyAccommodation if not offshore is paid by agencyResponsible for planning, administration, management, preparation and execution of electrical works.Key responsibilities Tasks DeliverablesImplementation of the Company Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of workAdvise operationally on high voltage electrical installations to WTG, offshore substations and both HV submarine and onshore cablesOversee safe commissioning of grid connections, offshore substations and associated MVHVLV plant and equipmentOversee all MVHVLV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV networkContribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectivelyCoordinate MVHVLV commissioning activities through the project construction stagesEnsure compliancy with and managing of Company Electrical Safety RulesSafety coordination in electrical mattersAct as senior authorized personCarry out Switching Operations and Lock Out Tag out on LV and HV equipmentOutage management and network control in collaboration with the Control EngineersUpdate MVHVLV schematic diagramsInspect work sites and perform site safety inspections and auditing for electrical mattersCoordinate with the Lead Commissioning Project Manager to ensure that accurate updates are distributed to the Project ManagementManage and coordinate HVMVLV commissioning activitiesCoordinate with National Grid and attend commissioning panel meetingsPrepare and check high voltage switching schedulesCheck method statements for electrical mattersImplement and provide training programmes for relevant staff according to the rulesProvide technical and engineering advice to working parties for electrical mattersAssist different departments in Company when requiredAttendance at FAT and SAT tests if requiredInput to the project commissioning management manual and related documents (including pre-commissioning and commissioning quality plans)Participation in different auditsReports from FAT & SAT on the different high voltage equipmentOnsite check of switching programsParticipation in the planning of resource and work activitiesParticipation in authorizations and assessments of new candidatesDeliver inputs to the design phase of the project on technical aspectsDecision authority ResponsibilitySay in relation to MVHV switching and isolationsIssue of Company Electrical Safety Rules safety rules documentsManagement of electrical safety to work onsiteRequirements:Requirements 275kV Offshore Substation Transmission SpecialistAppropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope. Several years of operation and commissioning experience within the field of high voltage electricity, offshore experience preferable Minimum 1 year of working experience within onshore substations systemsAble to pass GWO and HUET with CA-EBS course (climbing gear person weight limit - 120kg264lb). Course paid by Company, but will be deducted from final pay if contract is terminated by candidateagency within 1 year
