Position: Finish and Lead CarpenterLocation: Kennebunk, MEOur client, a family-owned custom home builder based in Wells, Maine, is seeking experienced finish and lead carpenters to join their team. The company has been constructing quality custom homes in southern Maine for over 40 years.Job Description:As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the carpentry aspects of construction projects. This includes leading a team of carpenters, working on-site to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. You will be involved in all stages of construction from framing to finishing, and your leadership will be key to delivering exceptional results.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and direct carpenters and laborers on the job siteManage daily operations and ensure project timelines and quality standards are metEnsure all work is in compliance with safety regulations and building codesInterpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings for construction projectsMeasure, cut, and install materials such as wood, drywall, and trimCoordinate with other trades and subcontractorsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentQualifications:5+ years of carpentry experience with a focus on leadership rolesProven experience in managing a construction crewStrong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving ability and attention to detailValid driver's license and reliable transportationBenefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth insurancePaid time off (18 days)401kOpportunities for advancement and career development
