Whether it's optimizing your existing technology infrastructure or implementing cutting-edge solutions, our team is committed to guiding you towards accomplishing your goals.POSITION SUMMARY:The Vice President, Finance is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting record, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPlan, direct and coordinate all accounting operational functions.Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.Coordinate activities of external auditors.Provide leadership with information vital to the decision-making process.Lead the budget process.Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes.Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed.Develop and monitor business performance metrics.Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly.Process payroll in a timely manner.Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.Maintain the chart of accounts.Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field5-7 years of accounting or controller experience in a small to mid-size professional services business required.Experience in higher education helpful but not required.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel to include pivot tables.Proficiency in accounting software.This position is fully onsite in Haddonfield, NJ, five days a week.
