Description: Department: General Med Surg Location: Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Schedule: Night Shift 3 12's (7pm - 7am) Up to $10,000 Sign on bonus offered Its Time to Get Better and grow at Piedmont! With our cutting-edge approach, Piedmont Atlanta is a leader in quality and patient satisfaction. Our Acute Care team spans several units with admission sources from the Emergency Department, PACU, ICUs and direct admissions. Our General Med Surg Unit (3 North) is a clinical team that partners and provides care to patients with a wide variety of general diagnoses admitted directly and through the emergency department. The high acuity of our patients provides an opportunity for our team to promote their knowledge and clinical skills. Our focus is patient safety, frequent monitoring, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to aide in the care of our patients. We are also the pilot unit for the hospital and will trial any new initiatives here on 3 North. We assist with rollout of successful initiatives throughout the hospital. RESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. Qualifications: MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
