This position is available to candidates on-site in our Fort Wayne office. Opportunity: The Senior Commissions Specialist reviews statements of commissions paid to Ash Brokerage to determine if overrides should be paid on individual cases. The Senior Commissions Specialist also resolves discrepancies, determines the amount(s) to be paid according to agreement, creates a Statement of Account for each payee to initiate payment of override, serves as commission subject-matter expert and sustains continuous focus on improvement of processes and services. Responsibilities: To be successful in this role, you will: Perform line-item review of statements of commissions paid to Ash Brokerage. Read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and contract language. Access agency management system and other manual and automated records to determine if override is due. Determine appropriate grid from which to obtain payment detail required to calculate the various components of the override hierarchy. Reconcile total override to be paid against commission received by Ash Brokerage to ensure accuracy of distribution. Perform ongoing audit of commission and override data stored in system and initiate correction of discrepancies. Research discrepancies and resolve issues. Enjoy digging into numbers and the why behind them. Serve as in-house commission expert for internal personnel. Assist Director in ad hoc projects as needed including streamlining commission entry processes using all available technology. Fill in as needed to support teammates. Talents and Abilities: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Ability to quickly grasp use of the internal agency management system Demonstrated PC literacy with ability to maneuver within multiple systems and applications Education & Experience: Associate's degree and/or 3+ years of related experience Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, including subtotaling, and reorganizing large amounts of data, and Word software Power Query knowledge is highly desired or the ability to learn Prior experience in the insurance industry is highly desired, including but not limited to contracting, commissions or new business Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, including subtotaling, reorganizing large amounts of data About Integrity Integrity is one of the nation's leading independent distributors of life, health and wealth insurance products.
