CNC Setup Operator

Join our team! We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Set-Up Machinist for our 1st shift operations. Shift: 1st Shift, 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Saturday) Responsibilities: Perform multiple CNC machine setups (up to 5 or 6 daily), including picking up X, Y, and Z datum points. Determine necessary fixtures, vises, tools, and attachments per job setup sheet prior to cutting. Discuss project specifications with supervisors and CNC programmers to ensure consistency. Modify machine spindle speeds and feed rates as needed. Oversee the cutting process, make adjustments, identify and correct errors. Inspect finished products for accuracy and uniformity to maintain quality standards. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and tool replacement. Qualifications: Proven ability to pick up X, Y, and Z datum points. Experience with multiple setups. Must provide their own dial indicators for setups. Ability to determine necessary tooling and fixtures. Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and programmers. Ability to modify machine parameters (speeds and feeds). Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and correct errors during the cutting process. Thorough understanding of quality control and inspection procedures. Ability to perform routine machine maintenance. Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential. Ability to work a minimum of 55 hours per week. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
