About the Company - My client, specializes in labeling, coding, and marking solutions for industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods. Their product range includes label printers, printer applicators, laser coding systems, thermal inkjet printers, and thermal transfer overprinters. With label production facilities across North America, they are now actively seeking a talented Area Sales Manager in the Wausau area.About the Role - This position contributes to the overall success of the company by proactively developing leads, establishing, maintaining excellent customer relations and selling company products and services within the Upper Midwest at a level which increases the profitability of that region.ResponsibilitiesSell their products including label, coding & marking equipment, labels, and ribbonsDevelop new and maintain existing account relations in an ethical and profitable mannerSupport national accounts as requiredFollow up on company-supplied leads in a timely mannerMaintain a prospect-customer data basePrepare proposals & quotes for prospects within the company's standard guidelinesDevelop reports in keeping with company reporting mechanismsAttend trainings and meetings as required by leadershipKeep current on trends from both market & technical standpointsRequired SkillsAbility to identify customer needs and match their solution with company productservicesKnowledge of industry and applicationsComputer literacy, especially with MS OfficeAbility to be on the road visiting prospective clients, current customers, vendors, etc. approximately 50% of the timeMust have own, dependable vehicle and good driving recordAbility to conduct business in an ethical, successful mannerSelf-motivated, strong desire to achieve personal professional growthStrong technical, communication and organizational skillsMaintain work-life balance
