JOB SUMMARY:Account Managers are responsible for technical sales and marketing functions needed to support service and new tool sales. They are also responsible for insuring constant communication between all associated departments and delivery of service and new tool sales that will be profitable to Altron Automation.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Meet quarterly sales goals in terms of labor hours, dollar amount sold and target markets.Customer relations for all outside sales.Generate customer RFQ's based on customer needs and specifications.Monthly sales projections and annual marketing presentations to the Sales Manager.Target profitable and standard tooling programs.Participate as required for release of any new job or engineering change to the job release team.Negotiate customer terms, program pricing, and delivery and customer issues in Altron's favor.Providing customer purchase orders in a timely manner for program release.Must fully understand the customers' needs and tooling requests.Understand Altron's tooling and manufacturing process.Must represent Altron in a presentable manor at all times.Deliver, review and respond to any customer quotation questions.Follow up before, during and after any quotation or program accepted or rejected by the customer.Recover cost for change of scope, engineering changes and cost over-run issues.Travel (5-10%) to customers facilities to maintain and improve customer relationsParticipate in periodic design reviews and all job close-out meetings.Participate in andor lead activities that promote continuous improvements and create a safe working environment.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Must have 3-5+ years of experience in the machine build industry with 2+ years in sales and marketing related activities.Bachelor's degree in engineering-related field preferred.Self-motivated and self-directedAnalytical ability to decipher manufacturing processes.Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS-Project.Demonstrated organizational skills.Ability to prioritize and handle many tasks simultaneously.Exercise team effort to achieve success.Respect for peers, subordinates, supervisors and customers.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
