With a strong focus on quality control and customer satisfaction, they maintain strict microbiological standards and operate under FDA, ISO, and cGMP regulations.Position Overview 🔬The Personal Care Microbiologist will play a crucial role in implementing and managing a comprehensive microbiological quality control program for liquid fill product lines. This position offers the opportunity to develop standardized testing procedures, establish monitoring protocols, and ensure compliance with USP standards while maintaining product quality and safety.Key Responsibilities 📋Design and implement standardized testing procedures for USP 60, 61, and 62 testing across different product categoriesEstablish systematic sampling schedules for raw materials, in-process testing, and finished product validationCreate and maintain environmental monitoring programs, including sampling point mapping and alertaction limitsPerform streak plate testing and precise colony counting with dual verification systemsGenerate weekly quality reports and maintain detailed documentation in both paper and electronic formatsLead quality investigations for out-of-specification results and implement corrective actionsWrite and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Collaborate with the Plant Hygienist on facility-wide monitoring integrationCoordinate with production schedules for optimal sampling timesParticipate in daily test result reviews and weekly quality metrics evaluationsRequired Qualifications âBachelor's degree in Microbiology (preferred) or Biology with strong personal care industry experience4-5 years of industry experience in personal care microbiologyDemonstrated experience in manufacturing or regulated industry settingsStrong knowledge of FDA, ISO, and cGMP regulationsProficiency with laboratory information management systems (LIMS)Expert-level knowledge of aseptic techniques and environmental monitoring principlesAbility to troubleshoot microbiological concerns within manufacturingStrong documentation and communication skillsExperience with quality control metrics and trend analysisWhat We Offer 🌟Opportunity to lead the implementation of new quality control programsState-of-the-art laboratory facilities with appropriate biosafety measuresProfessional development and growth opportunitiesCollaborative work environment with industry expertsComprehensive benefits packageChance to impact product quality in the health and beauty industryThis role requires occasional weekend availability to read time-sensitive samples.
