Job Summary:The SiteConstruction Manager is responsible for coordinating and executing large-scale investment projects for cement operations, including new cement greenfield developments, clinker production lines, maritime and land terminals, and other operational facilities. This role ensures compliance with company standards, local technical requirements, and market demands for cement, ready-mix, and aggregates.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage large-scale cement projects exceeding $15 million USD, overseeing execution in company locations and new international markets. Recruit, coordinate, and supervise multifunctional and multicultural teams of technical personnel throughout project execution. Select, hire, and manage engineering firms and contractors for civil works, mechanical erection, and electrical installations. Implement standardized procedures, technical platforms, and processes to ensure project quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Liaise with project stakeholders, including senior management, administrative staff, and technical teams, to consolidate project data and provide regular progress reports. Oversee the commissioning and startup of new cement operations, ensuring alignment with supplier protocols and company standards. Report project performance metrics, including EH&S indicators, execution progress, procurement, and construction updates, to top management. Position Challenges:Decision-making authority: Has full authority over project teams, with shared strategic decisions alongside the E&P Director and GO&T VP. Strategic planning: Define project budgets, cash flow, timelines, technologies, and staffing structures. Execution strategies: Recommend project delivery methods (e.g., turnkey solutions, general contracting), cement technologies, and organizational structures based on local market conditions. Compliance & safety: Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines across civil, mechanical, and electrical project phases. Global coordination: Manage cross-functional, international teams to execute projects effectively in diverse cultural and regulatory environments. Operational efficiency: Optimize long-term competitiveness through best practices and knowledge consolidation across global project execution. Timely & budget-conscious delivery: Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and within scope to meet client commitments.
